I

am a versatile and experienced designer with a background in journalism. In my 25-plus years in the business, I have created a wide range of graphics and layouts. I also do web design, including WordPress sites. Career highlights include managing the art and graphics departments at CQ Roll Call and the Chronicle of Higher Education and creating graphics for The Washington Post business section. Earlier in my career, I edited copy and wrote occasional stories.

More recently, I have been designing as a freelancer. I designed the cover and interior for the book Embracing Elderhood, shown at right. I also designed the website for Art House 7, which offers art classes for kids and adults, and for Aim High Driving School in Roanoke, Va.
